BUFFALO — CSEA is mourning the loss of Frederick Pordum,
a longtime Niagara Frontier Retirees Local 903, Unit 4 officer. He passed away Aug. 24, 2023, at age 86.
Before retiring
in 1998, Pordum
had worked for various Erie County
agencies, including Erie Community College and Erie County Health Department.
Pordum was serving as Local 903, Unit 4’s recording secretary at the time of his passing. He had previously served as the unit’s president and vice president.
He is survived by children and grandchildren. Services were held August 28.

Patricia “Patty” Goyette, Local 999 Secretary
GREENWICH — CSEA
is mourning the loss of Capital District Retirees Local 999 Secretary and longtime CSEA activist Patricia “Patty” Goyette, who recently passed away.
Goyette was active
in our union while
employed at Washington County Public Health. She served as president
and later 1st vice president of the Washington County Local, as well as various Washington County Unit offices. She retired in 2013.
She continued fighting for CSEA members after her retirement, becoming active in Capital District Retirees
Local 999. She was serving as the local secretary at the time of her passing.
Goyette was also active in Greater Glens Falls Central Labor Council.
