Fighting for retiree rights in the Sunshine State More than 6,000 CSEA Retiree Division members who live in Florida are playing an important role in that state’s economy, thanks to the strong pensions, health insurance and other benefits they have received as public employees in New York. At recent general membership meetings in CSEA Retiree Locals: Florida Retirees West Local 950, Florida Retirees East Local 951 and Florida Retirees North Local 952, members met Florida Retirees West Local 950 with their local and statewide officers, including CSEA President Danny Donohue, Statewide Treasurer Joe McMullen and Central Region President Colleen Wheaton; learned the latest Florida and federal political news from AFSCME representatives and got the latest updates on health insurance, discount buying and other benefits available through their union.
