Schenectady County Retirees
Local 924 held its Christmas
event on December 6 at The Turf
Tavern in Scotia with a hot, sit-
down delicious lunch attended by
50 retirees.
The meeting started with the
Pledge of Allegiance, and a moment
of silence honoring the late Local
924 President Roslyn Warlik.
Tables were decorated with
party favors and entertainment
was provided by “The Forgettable
Four,” who sang popular holiday
songs and led an audience sing-
along.
A short meeting was led by
officers, President Mary Sieder,
1st Vice President Donna Prusko,
2nd Vice President Marcia Walker,
Treasurer Lena Becker, and
Secretary Barbara Niedhammer,
and guest speaker, former CSEA
Retiree Program Specialist
Christine Meehan.
The event was capped off with
multiple door prize tickets drawn.
Officers prepared the new scarves,
mittens, and hats donated by
members and guests for transport
to Schenectady Street Soldiers for
delivery to those in need.
