CSEA President Mary E. Sullivan:
One Voice For Many
CSEA Family,
Over the past year, we
engaged deeply
with members
across every
region and
demographic.
Through surveys, focus groups and direct conversations, members told us what CSEA means to them and how we can best express that. Members asked for a brand that reflects who we really are.
CSEA members are as diverse as the work we do.
We live and work in all corners of the state.
We look, think and act differently. Yet, CSEA unites our voices as one. One voice for many.
This is exactly what this new branding delivers.
On July 1, CSEA officially began using a new logo and rebranding ourselves. This is an exciting and important step forward for our union. But, it is about more than just a fresh design. It modernizes how people see us and ensures our visual identity reflects the strength, unity, and boldness
of a union that keeps New York running.
To guide this transition, I appointed a branding team made up of a diverse mix of leadership, members, retirees and staff from various regions and departments. The new logo will first appear in digital spaces like our redesigned website, social media and publications. Other updates will follow gradually over the coming months and possibly the next year, to ensure a smooth and cost- effective rollout.
I know this will be a difficult undertaking. That’s why any local or unit experiencing difficulty with this transition will have
our union’s full support and assistance. You will not be doing
this alone; we will work together.
Thank you for helping shape our union’s future. If you have questions or feedback, please reach out to us at csealogo@ cseainc.org.
Together, we are moving forward with unity and with a bold brand for CSEA.
In solidarity,
Mary E. Sullivan, President
union. We stood strong, fought back and won. I am confident that we can do this again and show that CSEA will be a force for many years to come.

other programs that retirees rely on every day. CSEA members have always stood up and fought back, and we are doing so now. With a bold, modern look, we can even better show our opponents that we are here and we will not stand cuts to retirees and working people to further fill billionaires’ wallets.

This summer marks an important time in our union. On July 1, CSEA kicked off a new
era that includes a significant rebranding of our union, including a new logo and website. The new logo is now appearing on the pages of this publication and The Work Force, as well as on our new website and social media, but we

This will be a challenging undertaking. To help prepare for this rollout, President Sullivan appointed a team of leaders, members and staff from across our union to help implement the new logo in a smooth manner.
I was honored to represent the Retiree Division on this team. As we transition to the new branding, locals and units will have our full support and assistance. We will do this together, just as we stand together.
This is not just about a new look; this is about showing our union’s strength and diversity
in a bold, new way that really reflects what CSEA members want to show. We are facing some very tough challenges, with the federal administration and Congress making major cuts to Medicaid and
