CSEA Local 912 member Marlene Galbraith received the Retiree of the Year Award from the Rochester Labor Council
at the annual awards dinner
on Dec. 12. Standing with Galbraith is Rochester Area Retirees Local 912 President Bernie Giambra.
CSEA Suffolk Retirees Local 920 activist Marian Hester has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Belmont Lake Civic Association. Hester was recognized for her contribution and dedication to the betterment of the North/West part of the Town of Babylon.
Local 912 member Judy DiPaulo, who serves on the local’s Audit Committee, was recently recognized by the Italian-American Law Enforcement Officers of Greater Rochester (ITALEO) with an “Outstanding Service to the Community Award.”
Rockland Retirees Local 918 conducted a food
drive at the local’s Dec. 11 membership meeting for People to People, a food pantry that helps local residents in need. Local 918 not only donated 132 lbs. of food (which had an estimated value of $369.60), but the local also donated $113 in cash to the pantry.
