Officers from 13 CSEA Retiree Locals recently received access to a tool to email members and
boost communication. Action Network, hosted by
AFSCME, has been made available to retiree locals that wish to use email to pass along important information, such as notifications of membership meetings or other gatherings.
Several officers have completed training and have begun to use Action Network to communicate with retiree members. Email communication from CSEA saves money for our union and is significantly faster than regular mail.
“I’m thrilled to see so many Retiree leaders interested in using Action Network because it will let us communicate much faster and will cost us less money,” said CSEA Retiree Executive Committee Chair Bernadette Giambra. “It’s important for us to be able to communicate regularly and effectively with all our Retiree members, and this is one more great way we can do it. It’s
also easy to use.”

beginning for Local 921 as it
has made it extremely easy and affordable for me to communicate with our Westchester CSEA members,” said Westchester Retirees Local 921 President Linda Bryant. “It is simple to use and lets me stay in contact with all of them regularly, that is, if we have a good and correct email address for them!”
