The Work Force publishes a summary of actions taken by CSEA’s Board of Directors. The summary
is prepared by CSEA Statewide Secretary Denise Berkley for union members.

• Approved Warren County
Local 857 to enter into a
lease agreement with Mount Royal Plaza LLC dba Zim Development Co, Queensbury, NY with offices at 959 State Route 9, Queensbury, NY 12804. The lease is for five years from Nov. 1, 2018 to Oct. 31, 2023. The annual rent paid in equal monthly installations is $1,000. As this lease term runs past
the Local Officers’ current
term, the Board’s approval is necessary for this lease, subject to the approval of the Statewide Counsel’s Office.
• Approved reclassification of the position of Director of Information Systems, M/C Grade 9 to Chief Information Officer, M/C Grade 10.
• Approved reclassification of (2) Computer Programmer positions, UUE-NY Grade 15/17 to Computer Programmer Analyst, UUE-NY Grade 18A.
• Approved the creation of the position of Director of the Member Solutions Center, M/C Grade 8A by reclassifying the position of Director of the Insurance Department, M/C Grade 6.
• Approved the creation of the position of Administrator of Member Solutions Center, M/C Grade 6 by reclassifying the position of Supervisor, Insurance Department, M/C Grade 4.
• Approved the creation of the title of Member Solutions Specialist, UUE-NY Grade 10/11/12. Create and fund (3) positions.
• Approved the reclassification of the Insurance Claims Specialist, UUE-NY Grade 9 (2 positions) to the title of Member Solutions
Specialist, UUE-NY Grade
10/11/12.
• Approval to create the position
of Assistant to the Director, Education, Leadership and Development, M/C Grade 5.
• Approved Local 563’s name change from Annsville Residential Center (Central Region 5) to Taberg Residential Center.
• Approved dissolving Local 336, Westchester State Judiciary Employees (Southern Region 3) and transferring to Local 332 CSEA Region III Judiciary (Southern Region 3).
• Approved conforming the language and intent of the Retiree Local Constitution as adopted at the 2018 Annual

Delegates Meeting.
Approved the Political Action Committee appointments of Kris Kalender (Nassau County Local 830, Long Island Region 1 ), John Brown Jr. (Oneida County Educational Employees Local 869, Central Region 5), and Eric Hall (Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center Local 434, Central Region 5).
Approved the Standing Legal Committee Report as printed.

 ALBANY — CSEA’s statewide Board of Directors met on January 10, 2019. In official business, the board:
• Confirmed the appointments of new Board members Helen Chetney (Oswego County), Sean Ledwith (Western Region 6 Mental Hygiene), and Evans Quamina (Metropolitan Region 2 Mental Hygiene).
• Confirmed the appointment of Kathy Button (Western Region 6) as a Trustee to the Employee Benefit Fund.
• Confirmed the appointment of Robert Pazik (Western Region 6) as Vice Chairperson of the State Executive Committee.
• Confirmed the appointments of Charles Parsons (Western Region 6) to the Directors Personnel Committee, and Anita Booker (Metropolitan Region 2) to the Directors Budget Committee.
• Approved the agreement between CSEA and The United Union Employees of New York (UUE-NY). The UUE has ratified a one year contract extension, extending the current agreement to an expiration date of Sept. 30, 2020, with a
2 percent increase; all other
language will remain the same.
• Approved the 2019 Maximum Miscellaneous Allowances as
written in the Jan. 10, 2019 Statewide Treasurer’s Report to the Board of Directors.
• Approved amendments to
