CSEA’s Conference on Occupational Safety and Health
April 1-3, 2022, Saratoga Springs, NY and online through our Virtual Venue Platform
CSEA’s statewide conferences are back in person, but some programs will also be offered
virtually! A maximum of 500 active CSEA members will be able to attend in person, with funding permission
from your local or unit, and onsite attendance registration will be on
a first-come, first-served basis. Any other member may register to join the virtual portion of the conference.
Due to safety and health protocols
and virtual logistics, all attendees MUST pre-register individually using their CSEA account by 5pm on Friday, February 18, 2022, at https:// cseany.org/safety-conference-2022.

Educate
Get educated about the hazards that are most harmful to you, your co-workers and those you
represent.
• Just starting your union or
leadership journey? Begin with Getting Started, New Officers/Activists and OSH.
• Need more information on what to do about specific hazards? Learn more about the most fatal hazards in The Savage Seven, COVID
19 Lessons Learned and Grading Your Workplace Violence Program. Or,
learn about the most disabling hazards in sessions like Dangerous Health Contaminants and Injury and Opioid Use Prevention.
• Is the mental health of you and your co-workers a concern? A variety of stress- related workshops will be offered, including Secondary
Stress Trauma and PTSD, Reducing Workplace Stress and a more personal approach in Assessing Your Stress.
• Do you have safety and health concerns at work,
at home and in your community? Sessions like Preparing For Emergencies, What’s in My Water and School Secrets will be of interest.
Motivate
The conference plenaries will motivate and inspire you to know and exercise your safety and health rights before it is too late. Join us for a solemn and moving Workers Memorial Day observation, where we pay tribute to our fallen brothers and sisters, followed by how we activate new members.
Activate
There is no Union without U and all your sisters and brothers. Hazards without regulations
require union strategies. Violence, Bullying or Just Being a Jerk, Working Overtime and Beating the Boss will focus on union strategy and activation. Workshops like Safety Activist, Hazard Mapping/ Internal Organizing and Safety Committees That Work with help you get others involved so you don’t have to go it alone.
By Sunday afternoon, you will be energized, motivated and equipped with resources to unite and activate your co-workers around safety and health.
Visit a variety of exhibitors live and virtually throughout the conference. Virtual tables
and appointments will be made available to all pre-registered conference goers whether you elect to attend onsite or online.
Beautiful Saratoga Springs
has many entertainment and award-winning dining experiences for after-hours conference fun. Several businesses and dining establishments will be offering special discounts just for CSEA members attending the conference. Make a plan and reservations to dine out in Saratoga Springs, as this conference will NOT be providing Friday dinner or Saturday lunch

service at their on-site conference booth.
If you plan on attending in person, please note that CSEA’s Occupational Safety and Health staff is working with the City
Center and the hotels to utilize several layers of infection control, including increased ventilation, sanitization, density reductions
and contactless interaction when possible. The need for further precautions will be determined based upon rates of transmission and any federal, state, or local mandates in place at the time of the event.
