Legal experts on your side, whenever you need them. For $16.30 per month, you, your spouse and dependents get legal assistance for some of the most frequently needed personal legal matters. There are no waiting periods, no deductibles and no claim forms when using a network attorney for a covered matter. Or use an attorney outside of the network and be reimbursed some of the cost.1 And, for non-covered matters that are not otherwise excluded, this benefit provides four hours of network attorney time and services per year.2
1. You will be responsible to pay the difference, if any, between the plan’s payment and the out-of-network attorney’s charge for services.
2. No more than a combined maximum total of four hours of attorney time and service are provided for the member, spouse and qualified dependents, annually.

CSEA’s statewide college scholarships are available!
Graduating high school seniors who are dependents of CSEA active members are eligible to apply for and potentially receive one of our union’s statewide college scholarships.
CSEA awards 18 $1,000 Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarships (three in each region) every year.
Pearl Insurance and MetLife each sponsor a one-time $2,500 award.
In addition, eligible applicants are considered for the J.J. Kelly Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to students who are the children of CSEA members killed or permanently disabled as a result of their jobs, or who died while an active CSEA member.
