CSEA members marked Pride Month by celebrating the activism and advocacy work of
the LGBTQ+ community, as well as participating in Pride events across the state.
From fighting for equal rights to raising awareness about important issues, our union is dedicated to standing alongside the LGBTQ+ community, including many members of our CSEA family. We will continue to support and uplift LGBTQ+ voices!
As this edition was going to press, CSEA members were slated to join
in additional events in New York City and Rochester, which were scheduled in late June and July.

Members of CSEA Statewide LGBTQ+ Committee and CSEA Statewide Secretary Richard Bebo were on hand for the recent Pride Night at
the Plaza event held at Albany’s Empire State Plaza. Our union was a sponsor of the event, which included performances by Amanda Tori Meating and Jasmine Kennedie from RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as local performers. State Office of General Services staff coordinated the event, which raised money for Capital Region nonprofit organizations providing assistance
to the LGBTQ+ community. From left, LGBTQ+ Committee member Robert Schweit, Committee Chair Chantalise DeMarco, Committee member Bess Watts, CSEA Statewide Secretary Richard Bebo and Committee member Colleen Dewine.
