  CSEA Delegates to the AFSCME Convention
The following are the results for the Western Region contested race for AFSCME delegates.
The listing of all unopposed AFSCME delegates (Long Island, Metropolitan, Southern, Capital and Central regions) appeared in the March 2018 edition of The Work Force.
CSEA members vote for delegates to AFSCME’s convention to represent the membership. The Convention is held every two years, during which changes to AFSCME’s constitution and bylaws, which ultimately affect
CSEA, are voted on. This year’s convention will be held July 16 – July 20, 2018, in Boston.

ALBANY — CSEA’s statewide Board of Directors met on April 18, 2018. In official business, the board:
• Confirmed the appointment of
new Board members Gregory Kipp (Albany County) and Barbara Bourdeau (Montgomery County).
• Approved a copier lease and maintenance agreement for Monroe County Local 828 office at 1354 Buffalo Road, Suite 6, Rochester.
• Approved an amendment to the Merrill Lynch Advisory Agreement as set forth in the Advisory Services Resolution.
• Approved the Special Audit Committee Report as printed.
• Created permanent charters for Local 789, First Student Inc., Indian River (Central Region 5),
and Local 786, First Student Inc., Florida (Southern Region 3). Dissolved Local 100B and transferred members to Local 100A (CSEA/VOICE - Region 8.) Approved the Standing Legal Committee Report as printed. Approved the appointments
of Diane Hanson (Long
Island Region Judiciary
Local 330), Annette Jamison (Long Island Developmental Center & Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center Local 430), and Kenneth Russell (SUNY at Stony Brook Local 614) to the Long Island Region 1 Political Action Committee; and Thomas Edwards (Albany County Local 801), Greg Kipp (Albany County Local 801), Erik Ross (Albany County Local 801) and Andrew Williams (Albany County Local 801) to the Capital Region Region 4 Political Action Committee.
