CSEA Central Region officers and region Occupational Safety and Health Committee members hold their annual Workers Memorial Day observance at SUNY Cortland, where they planted and dedicated a tree as a living memorial to fallen workers. At left, The Rev. Thomas E.C. Margrave offers a benediction. To his right are Central Region officers Tom Hingher, Chantalise DeMarco, former officer Casey Walpole and Region President Kenny Greenleaf. Behind them is Cortland Mayor Brian Tobin.
The family of fallen CSEA member Jarred Newallo and Village of Hempstead officials dedicate a village skateboard park in memory of Newallo, who had died in June 2014 while on the job at the village.
