Gearing up for negotiations?
Don’t forget your benefits!
As your unit plans for negotiations, remember there are other ways to be compensated fairly for the hard work you put into your jobs.
Negotiating new benefits or upgrading benefits currently in place are great ways to enhance your local government contract (cities, towns, villages, school districts, etc.). The CSEA Employee Benefit Fund (EBF) can help.
While EBF is known primarily for its competitive dental plans and vision plans, we also offer legal, maternity, hearing aid, annual physical, physician co-payment reimbursement and prescription drug co-payment reimbursement plans. Units can also consider adding riders to customize their EBF vision plans.

An EBF Senior Benefit Specialist can help you obtain these benefits by presenting to your unit’s
contract negotiation team and management. We are also available to determine interest for the plans we offer, provide benefit information, and answer any questions your members might have regarding our benefits at a membership meeting
or information day. Please do not hesitate to contact your local specialist for guidance in addressing EBF benefits during negotiations.
Many local government units across the state are gearing up for negotiations this spring and summer. Now is a great time to get more involved with our union by attending the meetings and information days
scheduled for your unit. These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to learn more about the many resources our union has for members.
