Join us for our union’s 2023 CSEA Women’s Conference, which
will be held in Saratoga Springs April 28-30.
This year’s conference theme is “Our Voice Our Power,” which focuses both on members gaining knowledge and developing our collective voices to gain power.
The biennial conference, organized by our union’s Standing Women’s Committee, is open to all CSEA members, including retirees.
Conference programs center
on empowering working women, including developing assertiveness, public speaking skills, forming
a women’s committee, wellness programs, personal storytelling, an overview of resources for women
veterans as well as several programs that highlight CSEA resources.
Our union will also present our prestigious Irene Carr Leadership Award, which honors a CSEA member who takes the lead in advancing issues traditionally of concern to working women.
Carr, who was CSEA’s Statewide Secretary for 17 years, helped
lead our union’s fight to advance issues on behalf of working people, including expanding quality
child care, workplace training opportunities and pay equity. She also encouraged women to pursue leadership roles.
