May is CSEA Member Appreciation Month
Every day, CSEA members like you get the job done to provide services in every community in New York.
To acknowledge union members for the hard work they do, CSEA
is once again designating May as Member Appreciation Month. CSEA
regions are distributing lawn signs and holding events throughout the month to show our union’s appreciation of your efforts.

  Deadlines for submitting proposed changes to CSEA’s Constitution & By-Laws; proposed Resolutions
Proposed amendments to
the CSEA Constitution & By-Laws for consideration by CSEA delegates to the union’s 2024 Regular Delegates Meeting must be submitted by June 15, 2024, using the required proposal forms.
Proposed Resolutions for consideration by CSEA delegates to the union’s 2024 Regular Delegates Meeting must be submitted by
July 1, 2024, using the required
proposal forms. Proposed Resolutions may be submitted only by a delegate.
Proposal forms are available from the Statewide Secretary’s Office at CSEA Headquarters and region offices.
Completed proposals must be submitted to the CSEA Statewide Secretary, CSEA Headquarters, 143 Washington Ave., Albany, N.Y. 12210-2303.
Albert Tompkins, 50, Millbrook School District Unit President
CSEA is
mourning
the loss of Millbrook School District Unit President Albert Tompkins, who
died Feb. 20 following surgical complications related to a prior accident. He was 50.
Tompkins
his leadership as a union president, Tompkins was well-respected within the district for the pride he took in maintaining district facilities and known for having a great rapport with students, parents and staff. When he wasn’t busy with work
or spending time with his family, Tompkins could be found cheering on the Dallas Cowboys or watching NASCAR.
Tompkins is survived by his mother, son, stepchildren, siblings and extended family. Services were held Feb. 29 in Dover Plains.
