114th ADM: CSEA’s Constitution, By-Laws and Resolutions, as approved
Delegates to CSEA’s 114th Delegates Meeting approved the following change to our union’s Constitution at a first reading, with a friendly amendment, which will be read for a second time at the next Delegates Meeting:
• Constitution Article XIII, Amendments, would require that proposed amendments be provided to the Region Constitution and By-Laws Committees by a certain date. It would also reduce the number of required readings from two to one, which in effect would allow for changes to go into effect immediately.
The Delegates also approved the following changes to our union’s By-Laws which go into

• Number 6-24, committing to accountability and transparency when public services are privatized, and ensuring private sector members voices are heard and their rights are protected.
• Number 7-24, making New Member Orientation (NEO) training a high priority by educating CSEA leaders and ensuring resources
are provided to those completing NEOs.
• By-Laws Article VI, Committees, Section 4, updated the LGBT Committee’s name to “LGBTQ+”.
Delegates approved the following Resolutions:
• Number 1-24, condemning all acts of political violence by demonstrating the
