CSEA Retiree Today ACTIVIST INJURED — Jefferson- Lewis Retiree Local 915 Treasurer Fred Gerloff was recently injured and hospitalized by the ice storm that hit northern New York. Gerloff was outside his home when a tree fell on him. He sustained cuts to his head and leg and a broken foot, leaving him in a cast. Gerloff is hoping to be able to attend an upcoming officer training in Syracuse. Local President Carl Fitzsimmons asks members to keep Gerloff in their thoughts ... CHARITABLE LOCAL — Capital Region Local 999 recently donated to Toys for Tots, as well as toiletries to the Homeless Veterans of the Capital Region, food pantry and women’s toiletries items to the Saratoga County Local Adopt a Soldier Organization, and gloves, hats and scarfs to an area school for underprivileged children. The local Women’s Committee is also putting together a cookbook.
