Local Government CSEA Members

When CSEA members and staff are facing issues related to negotiated health benefits, The Health Benefits Department staff can provide help and guidance.  Staff members have expertise with issues related to products offered from the health care industry.   The department has helped to educate and/or negotiate health plans and products for our members that have retained critical benefits and reduced overall cost.

Several local government entities have adopted alternative prescription drug programs that have provided savings to employers while eliminating copays for our members for many high cost prescription medications.  In addition, other products and services such as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) have been adopted to reduce member out of pocket costs and employer premiums while leaving benefits intact.
