Southern Region members take the plunge for Special Olympics
FISHKILL — CSEA Southern Region members teamed up to support the athletes of Special Olympics New York by taking part in the Fishkill Polar Plunge in February.
As this edition went to press, the team had collected thousands of dollars in donations. The team had a number of returning members, as well as several activists taking the plunge for the first time.
Southern Region President Anthony Adamo said the Fishkill Polar Plunge has become a way
of bringing together CSEA activists from different industries and locals, who work together on behalf of Special Olympics even though they might
not regularly cross paths at union events.
