Celebrating National Provider Appreciation Day
In photo, Richard Morris, CSEA/VOICE Monroe Chapter member
and owner/operator of Morris Munchkins LLC, Group Family Child
Care, cares for children who attends his program. Recently, Morris
and other CSEA/VOICE child care providers celebrated National Provider Appreciation Day. Each year, our union celebrates child care professionals, including the more than 8,000 CSEA/VOICE Local 100A represented home based providers who are essential in helping working parents care for their families across New York State. They are key to keeping parents earning and children learning. CSEA/VOICE providers showed their pride through posting images of them on them holding signs on social media. The State Assembly also passed a proclamation designating May 6 as Provider Appreciation Day in New York. Sponsoring the proclamation was Assemblymember Sarah Clark, who has been an active supporter of both providers and working families.
