Remember Educate and Empower: LAKE PLACID — Hundreds of health and safety activists recently vowed to to “Never Quit” in in their fight to to make our our workplaces
safer during our our union’s recent Statewide Conference on on on on on Occupational Safety and Health Conference programs were designed to have activists remember our fallen brothers and and and sisters learn health and and and safety skills and and and empower ourselves to make real change in in our our workplaces
Workshops included topics such as hazardous chemicals workplace workplace hazards workplace workplace violence bullying workers’ compensation shiftwork stress and even motorcycle safety Attendees were greeted at at the conference by a a a a a safety fair that included for the first time ever representatives from health and safety equipment suppliers Sharing information on on on how employers
can access personal protective equipment and and other products that promote safer work places
and and cost savings Activists participated in in equipment demonstrations and learned about new products to boost worker safety in numerous types of jobs Attendees also held a a a a Workers’ Memorial Day ceremony to remember fallen workers and CSEA activists discuss ways to better connect CSEA to work sites Occupational Safety and Health Conference by the numbers
