PLATTSBURGH — CSEA members in Clinton County will Never Quit.
We recently held our first-ever weekend blitz, which allowed more members to join our ongoing efforts to build and strengthen CSEA. About 25 members went door-to-door and handed out literature to engage our members in conversation and urge them to get involved in strengthening our union.
CSEA Clinton County Employees Local President Joe Musso, along with local officers and activists, led the effort. Joining them were members
from the Clinton County Municipal and School Employees Local, activists from Albany, Saratoga and Washington counties, Capital Region President Ron Briggs and CSEA staff.
“The members who were involved in this blitz were phenomenal,” Musso said. “Most (of the member volunteers) had never been involved in anything like this before and many were anxious about their part, yet they devoted their time to driving around Clinton County dropping literature and speaking with our members one-on-one. Our members who volunteered for this effort really stepped up in a meaningful way.”

speak with our members about their concerns, as well as urge them to sign cards pledging to Never Quit our union.
“It was great to see how hard our members work in their communities on their days off. It gave me a feeling of pride that they were CSEA,” she said. “It was great to see that our members are everywhere and doing great things. I feel like we made connections that were important and that will last a long time.”
“It was a very rewarding experience as we spoke with members who were excited to learn more about the union and who valued the benefits of being part of a movement working for the betterment of working families,” Briggs said. “Several volunteers had such a great experience going door to door that they offered to help with the next blitz. With this kind of engagement, I know that our union will become stronger.”
