WHITE PLAINS — Attendees at the Westchester-Putnam Central Labor Body’s annual worker memorial vigil remembered fallen CSEA member Jake Arcara during a ceremony held May 2.

Highlighting the annual observance was a moving speech from CSEA Town of Yorktown Unit member Patty Dickan, who shared stories of working with Arcara and issued a plea for work zone safety.

Arcara died last September after a car struck him a work zone. He was 28, and engaged to be married in 2023.

The event had a strong showing from members of the Town of Yorktown Unit who had worked with Arcara. Among those representing CSEA were Southern Region President Anthony M. Adamo, Westchester County Local President Hattie Adams, and Town of Yorktown Unit President Keith Kuttruf.
