WADING RIVER — The CSEA Long Island Region Veterans Committee and guests recently gathered at Calverton National Cemetery for the committee’s annual Memorial Day ceremony.
Every year, the committee holds the ceremony at the grave site of a CSEA-affiliated person.
This year, the ceremony was held at the grave of CSEA Long Island Region 4th Vice President Larry Germano’s grandfather. The event included readings, as well as a wreath and an American flag placement at the grave.
After the ceremony, attendees posted flags at the gravesites of other CSEA-affiliated individuals.
