EAST MEADOW — The CSEA Nassau University Medical Center Unit (NUMC) held a bench dedication ceremony in memory of former NUMC Unit Treasurer Jerry Granito, who unexpectedly passed away last year.

The bench sits at one of the entrances of the hospital, where Granito worked and represented CSEA members for many years.

The plaque on the bench dedicated in memory of Nassau University Medical Center Unit Treasurer Jerry Granito.

Ceremony attendees included Granito’s family and friends, as well as CSEA officers and colleagues.

CSEA NUMC Unit President Antonia “Nina” Gavan and CSEA NUMC Executive Vice President Shakira Settles spoke kind words about Granito at the ceremony and encouraged attendees to “celebrate Jerry’s life.”
