STONY BROOK — Long Island Region Veterans Committee members continue to show their admiration and respect for the those who served in the U.S. military by holding special events in honor of local veterans.
The committee’s latest event was an ice cream social at the Long Island State Veterans Home (LISVH). At the gathering, attendees were treated with live music, soda and ice cream.
Attendees had a great time sampling the sweet treats while listening to classic tunes.
