More than 70 CSEA activists from across the state attended CSEA’s recent Next Wave conference.
The event was packed with workshops meant to help attendees further develop their activism skills. Next Wave is a community of members dedicated to empowering, activating and developing leadership skills among the future generation of union leaders.
Conference speakers included Fareed Michelin of the AFL-CIO, who spoke about what it means to be a leader, as well as Anthony Harmon of UFT, who spoke about the role of younger people getting involved in leadership roles in their communities.
