BETHPAGE — CSEA Long Island Region activists came together at the region’s annual holiday gathering to celebrate our year of union activity.
At the event, both CSEA President Danny Donohue and Long Island Region President Nick LaMorte thanked our members for dedicating their time and effort to defeating constitutional convention Proposition #1.
Donohue and LaMorte reminded attendees that the same tenacity it took to convince New Yorkers to reject Proposition #1 will also be needed to face the challenges that unions will have in the near future.
The event also included a special honor.
LaMorte presented Nassau Retirees Local member Lee Reynolds with a plaque, honoring her for her many years of service to our union’s Long Island Region.
Lastly, there was a raffle and gift card donations, a portion of the proceeds will go to the AMT Children of Hope Foundation. The organization was founded by Nassau County Retirees Local member Tim Jaccard. The foundation helps to find good homes for babies unwanted by their birth parents.
