Long Island Region members recently let billionaires and corporate interests know they are sticking with our union.
They joined CSEA and other labor union members from across the state for the recent AFSCME Working People’s Day of Action rally in New York City, only one of about 30 rallies held across the country.
As the U.S. Supreme Court prepared to hear oral arguments in Janus v. AFSCME Council 31, thousands of working people and our allies stood up for our freedom to join together in a strong union and urged for an end of
a system that’s rigged in favor of billionaires and corporate interests.
The Janus case jeopardizes our freedom to earn a fair return on our work. On Long Island and across the state, we provide services that our communities rely on every day.
