Our members in the Long Island and Southern regions recently vowed to Stay Union, Stay Strong during recent member engagement visits.

On Long Island, CSEA Long Island Region member volunteers, statewide officers and staff recently visited our members’ homes and work sites in eastern Suffolk County to hear their concerns and build our union.

Even a nor’easter on eastern Long Island that had cut short one of the visit days couldn’t stop our member volunteers and staff from having conversations with hundreds of members at their homes and workplaces.

In the Southern Region, member volunteers, statewide officers and staff recently visited homes and work sites across Rockland County.

CSEA Employee Fund Senior Health Benefits Specialist Jordan Hughes and Rockland County Unit President Karen Nicholson visit members’ homes to deliver information on Janus v. AFSCME Council 31.

In just one example of our volunteers’ commitment to staying union and staying strong, member volunteers and staff, including Rockland Psychiatric Center Local officers and CSEA Statewide Organizer Jessica Riley, held 17 straight hours of work site meetings throughout the center’s campus to ensure that workers on all shifts and locations throughout the campus had a chance to voice their concerns.

In both counties, many of our members vowed to stick with our union.

Nassau County Local members also committed to stay union, stay strong through a Never Quit member engagement meeting at Nassau Community College.
