DiSanto

ALBANY — State Department Taxation and Finance (Albany) Local Executive Vice President Joe DiSanto is our PEOPLE Recruiter of the Month for April, recruiting 20 new members to the program.

Joe started state service in 1987. Shortly after he became a shop steward and was recruited for the PEOPLE program.

He was motivated to help fund the program and its vital political work being done for members and for working people.

“I realized early on that our dues money had very little to do with the PEOPLE program,” DiSanto said. “People don’t realize that CSEA can’t use your membership dues for political activity.”

DiSanto also serves on CSEA’s statewide PEOPLE Committee and also as the vice chair of the Capital Region’s Political Action Committee.

DiSanto believes strongly in the power of the PEOPLE program, protects and improves our jobs, benefits and pensions in Washington, Albany and in your community. Your support and participation in PEOPLE strengthens our clout in the workplace, in the legislature, in your community and in the labor movement.

“Without PEOPLE, we have no ability to fight for what we need,”DiSanto said.
