ALBANY — Capital Region officers, member volunteers and staff recently worked nonstop over three days to build our union by visiting worksites and knocking on doors across Albany County.
The volunteer teams visited numerous worksites and more than 1,000 member homes, where they dropped off literature and met with members to hear their concerns and help strengthen our union, including asking members to recommit to our union.
Members were overwhelmingly positive to our visits, with one non-member noting to the team that visited that he was glad we showed up and that he had been meaning to call our union to join, which he did.
The message from members was clear: “We’re sticking with our union!”
