MEDFORD — To keep our union strong, we make training our members in union skills a priority.
Seasoned and new Long Island Region activists recently completed our Contract Negotiations: Maximizing Our Leverage workshop.
This two-day workshop, recently held at our Suffolk Educational Employees Local 870 office, was developed to further educate activists on our leverage and how to properly use it at the bargaining table.
Attendees also learned more about contract campaigns, collective bargaining, how to organize a Contract Action Team and more.
The Contract Negotiations Workshop; Maximizing Our Leverage is one of three, six-hour workshops meant to aid our members in contract negotiations skills for local government units and private sector locals.
