SYRACUSE — CSEA Central Region President Kenny Greenleaf was recently sworn in as executive vice president of the AFL-CIO’s Central New York Area Labor Federation (ALF).

Area Labor Federation President Ann Marie Taliercio swore Greenleaf in at a recent ALF meeting. Greenleaf will finish out the remainder of former Central Region President Colleen Wheaton’s three year term, after her retirement last November.

“As president of the Central New York Area Labor Federation, it was my pleasure to appoint Kenny Greenleaf to the position of executive vice president. Brother Greenleaf brings a wealth of leadership experience to the CNY ALF, which represents eleven counties. I look forward to working side by side with Kenny and his entire CNY CSEA Membership,” Taliercio said.

“When Ann Marie Taliercio asked me to serve as Executive Vice President on the Area Labor Federation I was incredibly honored to be considered for the position. When I actually took my oath and was sworn in, it hit home how significant this role was really going to be, not only for me, but for CSEA, our members and for all working men and women,” Greenleaf said.

“I’m hopeful that the new connections that I will create and the partnerships we will form with the other representatives on the board will help to move CSEA forward, giving us an even better presence at the table with all labor unions. It is my hope that my involvement will strengthen CSEA now and in to the future,” he said.
