COMMACK — CSEA activists understand that legislation and politics affect us every day.
Our salaries, benefits, jobs and more depend on budgets and legislation passed on every level of government. To ensure that our voices are heard, CSEA activists join political action committees at the statewide, region and local and unit levels.
Recently, our Long Island Region Political Action Committee gathered at the Long Island Region office to discuss the current political environment in our region, as well as the working relationship between CSEA and our local officials.
Activists also discussed the main topics of conversation during their recent lobbying visits as well as political networking outside of lobby days.
Reminders to continue the political conversation with members throughout the region was also encouraged.
