Central Region 3rd Vice President Betty Jo Johnson

E. SYRACUSE — CSEA’s Central Region is proud to welcome our newest Region Officer into our leadership team, longtime activist Betty Jo Johnson!

Johnson, who serves as president of Madison County Local 827 and of our Madison County White Collar Unit, was appointed by Central Region President Kenny Greenleaf to fill the vacant position of third vice president at our recent Spring Executive Board Meeting.

“Betty Jo has been involved with our union at many levels for a long time and brings her experience, knowledge and honesty to everything she does. I am so glad she joined our team and look forward to working with her,” Greenleaf said.

Johnson has been very active in CSEA for many years, serving in various capacities. She currently serves as chair of our union’s Statewide PEOPLE Committee. She said she is looking forward to serving in her new capacity.

“I am honored that Ken, his executive officers, and the Region 5 executive board gave me their vote of confidence in appointing me to the position of third vice-president. I look forward to the challenge of helping to maintain smooth steady sailing while bringing innovation to our Region,” Johnson said.
