GREAT NECK — CSEA members working in the Village of Great Neck Park District are responsible for keeping the village in the pristine condition that residents enjoy.
From the village marina to the various parks and pools, CSEA members perform their tasks with extreme care, which is not lost on those who have seen the well-kept grounds.
“We get a lot of compliments from people in the community,” said CSEA Village of Great Neck Park District Unit Vice President Peter Ojemeke. “The positive feedback gives us the drive to keep improving on our collective skillsets.”
Always proactive, unit members never wait for job assignments. When they see something needs to be done, they immediately take care of it.
Members also fill out monthly reports that indicate any additional projects that they need permission to service.
It is their positive attitude that keeps our members dedicated to their craft.
“I can’t complain because I love what I do,” said Michael Zalesky. “I love working outdoors and being able to do that with colleagues that I like makes the job even better.”
