CSEA Executive Vice President Mary E. Sullivan speaks at a Workers’ Memorial Day observance held by the AFL-CIO Central New York Labor Council in Ilion.

On Workers’ Memorial Day, observed on April 28, we remember those who died or became severely injured while doing their jobs, including our CSEA brothers and sisters.

In addition to remembering those who have passed while doing their jobs, we also use Workers’ Memorial Day to renew our ongoing commitment to safe and healthy workplaces. These workplace deaths are preventable, and we will continue to fight until everyone can do their jobs safely.
