WNY — The Flo Tripi Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of the well-loved and much-admired CSEA Western Region President who passed away in 2018.

Awards from this fund will offset tuition costs for CSEA Western Region union members who enroll in Labor Studies courses offered by Cornell University’s School of lndustrial and Labor Relations (lLR) Extension Division.

To be eligible for an award from the Flo Tripi Scholarship Fund, CSEA members must:

* Complete the application form;
* Attach a short (no more than one page) essay describing the importance of education to unions and the labor movement;
* Submit the form with your essay at least three weeks prior to the start of the class you intend to enroll in, by mailing it to:

Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the ILR School. Awards may cover all or part of the tuition costs. Cornell ILR will advise those who have been awarded scholarships at least one week prior to the start of class and will provide CSEA Western Region leadership with those names.

Members may apply for assistance no more than twice in a calendar year.

lnformation about upcoming Cornell ILR Labor Studies courses will be available on the CSEA website or the CSEA Work Force Newspaper before each term begins (fall, winter, spring).
