CICERO — Cicero Town Supervisor Mark Venesky honored CSEA members of the Town of Cicero Highway Department (Local 834) at an annual safety meeting on Thursday, Sept. 19.

The awards are given to employees that display strong leadership skills in the field, according to Unit President Justin Pettersen.

Jim Lottermoser, a machine equipment operator, and David Christian, a foreman, were presented the awards.

“I’m happy the town has taken an initiative to make safety a top priority,” Christian said.

Work is almost complete at the Highway Department’s new location on Route 31. The hope is to have the Highway Department operating out of the new building before December, according to Town Supervisor Venesky.
