FLUSHING — More than 70 CSEA members took the field at the New York Mets’ Citi Field before the team’s September 29 game.

Our members, sporting ‘Proud Union Member’ t-shirts, were joined by thousands of other union members for the Mets’ Union Night at Citi Field.

In addition to watching the game, CSEA members lined up on the warning track for the National Anthem, proudly displaying their t-shirts and union pride.

Each union was also recognized at a home plate ceremony.

CSEA State Taxation and Finance (NYC) Local activist Tanya Bruce, left, accepts on behalf of our union a Home Plate Award from the Mets, along with representatives from other unions.

CSEA New York State Taxation and Finance (New York City) Local activist Tanya Bruce, a tax compliance agent 2 for the agency, accepted the spirit award on behalf of CSEA in a home plate ceremony before the game, recognizing CSEA’s vital participation in making Union Night a reality.

“I was thrilled to see so many members from across the state come together to visit our region, show their union pride, and watch a ballgame,” said Metropolitan Region President Lester Crockett.
