LONG BEACH — The CSEA City of Long Beach Unit held its annual Employee of the Year Lunch, at which the unit honored unit members who have gone above and beyond their assigned work tasks.
Employees that reached the 30-year landmark as a city employee also received a commendation at the event.
CSEA City of Long Beach Unit President John Mooney thinks recognizing members’ work is a main component of union solidarity.
“It’s important that we recognize the hard work and sacrifices our members make every day,” said Mooney. “Without their efforts, we wouldn’t be a strong union. They make us who we are and that is union strong.”
