SUMMER 2024

CSEA Retiree members were key to our
union members making all the difference
in the recent primary wins across the
state.
Major primary victories included George
Latimer in the 16th Congressional District, John
Mannion in the 22nd Congressional District and
Siela Bynoe in New York State Senate District
6. CSEA members spent many weeks, often on
evenings and weekends, doing labor walks,
making phone calls and holding rallies for our
union’s endorsed candidates, which paid off in
the primaries. Retiree members played a crucial
role in showing this labor support.
Support from our union’s staff is also
essential to successful campaigns. Our union
prints tens of thousands of pieces of campaign
literature that is distributed to help inform
voting members about why our union supports
endorsed candidates.
Also playing a major role are CSEA’s phone
bank staff, who support member efforts in each
region by making calls on behalf of endorsed
candidates and to provide reminders about
when and where to vote.

information at cseany.org/vote.
