McDonough scholarship recipients announced

  CSEA recently awarded six $1,000 Thomas H. McDonough Continuing Studies Scholarships to
a child of a union member in each region.
The scholarship is open to previous CSEA statewide scholarship recipients. We congratulate the recipients on their awards and wish them continued success in their studies. Receiving the 2019 awards are:
Long Island Region: Nicole Niemiec, whose mother, Andrea Niemiec, is a teacher assistant at the Bayport-Blue Point Union Free School District.
Metropolitan Region: Rebecca Bollmann, whose mother, Karen
Bollmann, is a management analyst at New York State Family Court. Southern Region: William B.
Schiele, whose mother, Peggy Schiele, is a clerk typist at the Minisink Valley Central School District.
Capital Region: Bridey Nolan, whose mother, Monica J.B. Nolan, is a teacher aide at Cambridge Central School.
Central Region: Caitlin Lashbrooks, whose mother, Christine Lashbrooks, was employed by Lewis County.
Western Region: Danielle Gilfert, whose mother, Hope Gilfert, is
a high school nurse at Wellsville Central School District.

The NYS & CSEA Partnership
for Education and Training is pleased to announce the release of the spring 2020 Skills for Success course catalog.
There are 100 classes in 52 topic areas scheduled statewide from February through June 2020. In order to increase participation in
courses while limiting time away from the office and eliminating travel expenses, the Partnership is offering 17 classes via webinar.
