 Election Oversight
The union’s Statewide Election Committee will oversee the election process. The American Arbitration Association, an independent election agency approved by
the union’s Statewide Board of Directors, will conduct the balloting.
Any CSEA member who is considering the possibility of running for office may obtain information about the election process by calling the Statewide Election Committee at CSEA Headquarters 1-800-342-4146 ext. 1447 or 518-257-1447. Please check the CSEA bulletin boards at your work place for more election details and documents.
Private Sector Board of Directors’ seats election
Due to the increase in membership in the CSEA Private Sector, there are now three (3) seats on the Board. By the constitution, the Private Sector Executive Committee Chair (Deborah Hanna) is an automatic Board member by virtue of being Chair.
Also, by the constitution, any additional Private Sector Board seats cannot be from the same employer. Thus, the two additional seats will
be elected from the Private Sector membership, except for HRI, because that is where the Chair is employed.
A mid-October mailing to all Private Sector Local Presidents included items for posting -- the Notice of Election and the Election Schedule. If you wish to run for this Board Seat, each Private Sector Local President has candidate applications available for you. You may also request a candidate application
from your CSEA Region office or CSEA Headquarters via the Legal Department at 1-800-342-4146, ext. 1447 or directly at 518-257-1447.
