BUFFALO — After three days of voting, Erie County Unit members overwhelmingly ratified a five-year contract. The agreement covers a good portion of Erie County municipal employees.

CSEA Erie County Unit President Bill Wilkinson and County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz recently released a joint statement to the public announcing the tentative agreement, which was voted on in mid-June.

“CSEA feels that we reached a mutually beneficial agreement that provides its members with an improved work environment,” said Wilkinson. “We are confident that the terms of the agreement will give members a greater work-life balance along with additional wages and benefits that will promote recruitment and retention efforts in such a highly competitive market.”
