Rochester, NY – The Civil Service Employees Association is pleased to announce that it has endorsed Jamie Romeo’s candidacy for the NYS Assembly District 136. The NYS Assembly District 136 covers portions of the City of Rochester and parts of the Towns of Irondequoit, Brighton, Pittsford and Penfield.
CSEA represents approximately 300,000 active and retired, public and private sector employees, including 45,000 members in Western Region 6 which serves Monroe County. Approximately 86 percent of CSEA membership in the Western Region are prime voters.
“We are pleased to announce the endorsement of Democrat Jamie Romeo for NYS Assembly 136th District,” said Kathy Button, Western Region President. “Jamie has been a good friend to labor and especially CSEA over the years. Her intelligence, life experience and passion for delivering results for our community makes her the best choice to represent us in the NYS Assembly.”
Bess Watts, CSEA Monroe County Local President added, “CSEA supports candidates who support working people regardless of political affiliation. Jamie Romeo will no doubt hit the ground running. We are convinced she will focus on legislation that will make our communities stronger and safer.”
Primary Election Day in New York State is Thursday, September 13.
