VERONA — More than 1,000 CSEA officers and activists from across the state recently attended our 109th Annual Delegates Meeting.
During the five-day meeting, our members attended numerous programs designed to help us build our knowledge and skills to keep our union strong and our members empowered. Specific programs centered around issues such as collective bargaining, legal issues, building communication skills, leadership and political action.
The meeting’s theme was ‘Forever Union,” chosen because our union’s leaders have not only committed to keeping CSEA strong now, but are actively working to preserve our union for the future.
Meeting highlights included addresses by State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli and AFSCME International
President Lee Saunders; member engagement visits to members in the Verona area as part of a training on reaching out to our members and honors for members for their service in making our union stronger.
We will have much more coverage of the 109th Annual Delegates Meeting in our December edition.
