CSEA Communications Department honored

Great Neck Park District Unit member Carl Munnerlyn shows his union pride on CSEA's float in the 2024 New York City Labor Parade.

CSEA Communications Department staff were honored by the International Labor Communications Association (ILCA) in its 2025 Labor Media Awards Contest. Our union received four awards for 2024 Work Force content. The contest honors 2024 print, digital and broadcast work from unions across the United States and Canada. CSEA received the following awards:

1st Place  – Best News Story

“Vigil remembers Maria Coto, fallen Westchester County Social Services worker”

This powerful and moving story, written by Communications Specialist Jessica Ladlee, was originally published in the September 2024 Work Force, Westchester County Unit members, county official and Southern Region officers participated in a vigil in memory of Maria Coto and our union’s efforts to improve workplace safety.
