Mary E. Sullivan: Carrying the ADM spirit into 2026

As we move into a new year, the spirit of “Stepping Up, Standing Strong, Tomorrow’s Leaders” continues to guide our work. The focus we placed at ADM on preparation, unity and leadership development has strengthened our ability to confront the challenges ahead and continue advancing our union’s mission.

We are putting that momentum to work in 2026 by pressing forward with urgency and determination. Improving Tier 6 remains a top priority because meaningful reforms are essential to restoring fairness and strengthening the long-term promise of public service. We will also continue our push for safe workplaces and the staffing levels needed to deliver the quality public services our communities rely on every day.

We also know the recent federal reductions passed last year will place real pressure on state agencies, local governments and schools, but CSEA is ready. The work we have done to build knowledgeable, confident leaders — new and experienced — means we are prepared not just to respond to these challenges, but to stand strong in protecting jobs and safeguarding critical public services.

Our union has always shown what we can accomplish when we act with unity and purpose. In 2026, we will build on the foundation we strengthened together, meet every challenge head-on and continue moving CSEA forward. That is what it means to be one voice for many.
